Trigger warning: Can’t say because it’ll give it away, but be warned.
When you’re a popular idol like I am, getting presents from your fans is expected. Today was no different than expected; a huge pile of boxes and envelopes was delivered to me.
As I was going through the mail, I noticed a flimsy-looking envelope. Hm. Usually I get sent things, not envelopes.
Sigh… It’s probably fanmail or something. I opened the envelope to see what was inside.
Fingernails. Human fingernails.
I felt nauseous and threw them out immediately. Ugh.
Well, I have to get up early, so I’ll just go to bed now.
The live was a huge success! My meet-and-greet with the fans was pretty nice, too. Tons of people came, just to shake hands with me!
Afterwords, I went to wash my hands in the bathroom when I noticed it.
Huh? My hand… It’s covered in blood…
Here’s the rest of the story. Please remember, I take no responsibility for what happens to you after you read this.
A 5th grade boy had a certain illness that took a turn for the worse. He was hospitalized for a month before finally being released.
While he was in the hospital, he stayed in a 4-person room. An older woman, an older man, and a girl about his age shared the room with him.
The boy was extremely shy and introverted, so he had trouble making friends with his roommates. For a few days he spent all of his time studying or playing with his Game Boy by himself.
He had already beaten the game he brought with him, but he had a lot of time to kill so he played it for a few hours every day.
About a week after entering the hospital, he noticed the girl in his room staring at him while he played his game. When he looked her in the eye, she became flustered and looked the other way.
“Do you wanna play?” he asked hesitantly. “You can borrow it if you want.”
The girl’s eyes immediately lit up, and her expression changed.
“Really?” The boy nodded and gave her the Game Boy. She didn’t understand how to play, though, so he helped her along and they played together.
The game required the player to make a party of four people. When they named the characters, the leader became Takashi (the boy’s name), while the other members were named Yuuko (the girl’s name), and the others were named after the older man and woman.
Takashi and Yuuko became closer, and they spent much of their time together even when they weren’t playing the game. They talked about school, family, music, the coming summer vacation… Time flew by for the two.
Before he knew it, Takashi was being discharged. The nurses and his older roommates congratulated him, but Yuuko could only cry. Seeing that made Takashi want to cry, too, but he managed to control himself.
“Keep the Game Boy until you leave. Call me as soon as you get home, okay?” With that, he left the game with her.
Many times Takashi thought he might try to visit Yuuko, but whenever the thought struck him he was overcome by his social awkwardness, and he never actually ended up going.
A year passed, and he still hadn’t heard anything from Yuuko. He was ready to graduate from elementary school by this time.
He wanted to see her at least once before going to middle school, so he mustered up the motivation and finally went to the hospital.
When he went to his old room, he saw that she wasn’t there. Her name wasn’t on the residents’ roster, either. Had she already been discharged?
Unsure of what to think, he went to the nurses’ station to ask what happened.
“Yuuko went somewhere far away,” and other vague answers were all he got, but he was old enough to understand what they really meant. Even without the euphemisms, the change in mood along with the nurse who burst into tears made it all too clear.
Takashi was dumbfounded. While he stood there unable to move, one of the nurses spoke up.
“Oh, are you Takashi? Yuuko said to give this to you if you came back.”
He was given the Game Boy and game he had lent her.
He went home, skipped dinner, and sat in his room with the lights off. He turned on the Game Boy.
The opening theme played, and he remembered the time he spent with Yuuko.
The file select screen came up. The first file was their shared game. It seemed as if she hadn’t really progressed much since he left her. His heart ached with his memories and sadness.
Below that file was another he had never seen. The character levels were all quite low. Did she start and give up right away? He opened the file.
When he saw the party members’ names, his blood ran cold.
A new kid came to my class one day. He never talked to anyone, though, so he didn’t really have any friends. He just put his head on his desk and moped all day. After a while, I began to wonder about him and decided to talk to him.
“You always look so sad,” I sat at the desk in front of him. “Is…

Hey, 2-3 weeks ago there was a thread here. I’ve been really freaking out since then. Please help.

What sort of thread was it (´･ω･`)?

It had something to do with a really creepy picture. There were a bunch of burned mannequins or something, and ever since I saw the picture strange things have been happening.

Ever since I saw the picture, I’ve been having problems. Sleep paralysis, for example. I keep hearing things knocking on my window, and I’ve been having nightmares where I see the mannequins from the picture.
I was on a business trip with a coworker. We stayed at the same hotel, so we stayed up talking for a while. He kept trying to freak me out by telling me that the place was haunted and that something was going to come for me in the night. Admittedly, I got kind of scared and when I went to bed I made sure to cover myself as much as possible. You know how it is.
Just as I expected, I heard someone knocking at my door in the middle of the night. I thought it might be a hotel employee, so I called out to see who it was. Nobody answered, though. I was scared even looking at the door, and the knocking continued all night long. As soon as the sun started to come up, the knocking stopped. I got dressed and hurried out of the room. I checked out without even eating breakfast because I didn’t want to be anywhere near the place.
After the business trip ended and I went back home, I told my coworker about the knocking. He smugly said that he knew it would happen because a while back, there had been a fire at the hotel. Most people made it out, but there were a few that had been stuck inside. Those people ended up being stuck in their rooms and died slowly from burns and smoke inhalation. It’s their spirits that appear at the hotel now.
Damn. Hearing that made me glad that I didn’t open the door. I wonder what would have happened if I had?
A man was away on business when he decided to call home to talk with his wife. He was surprised when another woman answered the phone.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“I’m a maid who works at this house,” she replied.
“We shouldn’t have a maid at my house,” he said cautiously.
“That’s true, but I was…
The rain was coming down in sheets that night.
I pulled the car to the side of the road right before the tunnel and stopped there for a few minutes.
I felt kind of stupid being there, but the atmosphere was definitely eerie.
Maybe it’s because the tunnel ahead of us was said to be haunted.
After we took a short rest, we decided it was time to go into the tunnel.
This is the first time I had ever done anything like that, so my excitement was doubled. We all new we should have been more mature about it considering our age, but even my friends’ eyes had a certain glimmer that was reminiscent of a child waiting in line for a ride at an amusement park.
Note: Sorry for the lack of replies. I took on some unrelated translations, and I’m just now getting to building up a queue here again. The first couple of stories I started to translate took a turn for the WTF (crossing over the line that I’m willing to post), so the first few from today might not be of the best quality. I’m hoping to get some decent work done in the next week or two, so hopefully I’ll get to replies soon.

I was watching the news when suddenly my friend’s house came on the screen. I sat up straight, waiting to hear what had happened. Apparently a girl’s body had been found in one of the walls.
I immediately called my friend to see what was going on, but he had moved a while ago and wasn’t living there anymore.
“Yea, well, anyway… I guess they found a body in the wall of your old place,” I explained.
“What?” he sounded scared. “No way!”
“The new owner was remodeling when he found it.”
“Shit… That’s scary…” Judging by his voice, my friend was taking it pretty seriously.
“Isn’t it? I mean, who the fuck kills somebody and then buries the body in their wall?” How many times had I been to his house? I was freaking myself out thinking about it.
“I feel bad for the girl, but I never noticed anything while I lived there…”
“Yea, I guess you’re right,” I admitted, never having heard anything strange from him.
“That’s the scary thing,” he said in a far off voice. “I have chills just thinking about it…”
I had to agree. Thinking of the possibility of there being a body hidden in my house set me on edge. It’s like a physical blow, in a way. I bet this will stick with my friend for a while…
